I got my new Samsung i730 in the mail yesterday and I have spent a good part of the day playing with it and I still havenít discovered all this phone/pda can do. First of all it has Wi-Fi , Bluetooth and EV-DO which means I can connect to the interweb via anyoneís wireless connection at their house, over Bluetooth to sync with my pc, or to a wireless headset, or I can use Verizonís network. I believe this thing has a 400mhz processor and just under 100mb of ram/memory. Yes, it is almost as fast as the laptop used to write a good portion of my web site. One of its sweet features is the slide out keyboard which is handy for sending txt messages or e mail via outlook. It has Infra red at the top and a program that started controlling my TV, DVD player etc OUT OF THE BOX, no configuration needed. Ironically enough I have Skype on it so that I can make phone calls for free when I have a Wi-Fi connection. And for all of you asking that question, yes, I do need all of these features. I had a pocket pc and a cell phone last semester and it sucks carrying so much stuff in your pockets and remembering to charge everything. My contact list is synced with my pc, and once I look up someone's name I can choose to e mail, txt message, or call them. Imagine that! My phone can make calls too!
